Let’s take it apart and see how it works inside,
what makes it tick
As gizmo gadgeteers would say
way back in the good
old days
When men built ships by tweezer in
vessels of clear glass
Or engines grease enhanced lobotomized
then left behind on
benchlike desks in
basements strewn
with tiny tools and
oily screws,
glass jars full of savior nails and visegrips with their muscled tales. And then–why not?–
probe what’s inside
the dome its told
contains the mind.
There is a problem though, loosely thought of thought by Wittgenstein that thinking may be
for all we know to
single toe confined.
