My life is not much too much unlike
that of some turkey gloriously arrayed
with inexplicably
familiar face
evincing chromatic variance meant
to attract I’m told
attentive gaze
aligned with sturdy slowmo gait
to thwart approaching mice, small dogs, cats and lice
who no longer bug me
’bout anything
even my awesome warbly singing song
uniquely wrong in meagre minds
where nothing tells a tale so bold
as gracious plumage fans unfold.
