If Only This

If only my glances side to side

Had bled forth a hope, frozen in time.

As once they'd release

passionate dance

Of love of colorful shades of rhyme.

And songs once sung by brain sung but once

Known but to God, so forgot by none.

For they torn up by what's merely real,

Made sad by jostling griefs in parade,

Take heart and thought that every shed tear

Drops tempo for omnipotent ear.

As clumsy kids smiling, skip and trip

Full knowing their fall belongs to all this.
